The Victorian Murray Floodplain Restoration Project is restoring high-value floodplains along the Murray River by reconnecting them to the river and building carefully designed infrastructure to support the seasonal wetting cycles that native plants and animals depend on.

The Victorian Murray Floodplain Restoration Project (VMFRP) will get much needed water back onto nine high-value floodplains along the Murray River. Without this water, these iconic landscapes will continue to decline – along with the many native trees, animals and plants that depend on them.

Minister’s Assessment delivered – Belsar-Yungera and Hattah Lakes North EES

The release of the Minister for Planning’s assessment concludes the Environment Effects Statement (EES) process for the Hattah Lakes North and Belsar-Yungera Victorian Murray Floodplain Restoration Projects.
