Minister’s Assessment Delivered – Nyah-Vinifera ER

The release of the Minister for Planning’s assessment concludes the Environment Report (ER) process for the Nyah-Vinifera Victorian Murray Floodplain Restoration Projects.

The Nyah-Vinifera projects are two of nine floodplain restoration projects proposed as part of Victoria’s response to the declining health of high-value Murray River floodplains due to river regulation and climate change.

We welcome the Minister for Planning’s assessment and the advice provided.

The project team will now work through the assessment in consultation with relevant stakeholders to consider and address the Minister’s recommendations, which will in turn inform broader delivery of the Victorian Murray Floodplain Restoration Project and the Basin Plan.
